MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with the newborn baby as well as a child who was 3 years old and found it to be extremely robust. It handled grass, cobbles and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath said it felt solid to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need periodic pumping) offer built-in suspension that was very comfortable for my kids.
The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to think about. It is important for the seat to be big enough for your child to feel comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer the option of lying flat, which lets your child face you, while other buggies only permit a parent-facing option.

The only downside of this amazing mobility is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it can struggle in tight spaces - something to be aware of when you live in a city area. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better choice for you.
